Flashback Diary: Venice on a budget

This umbrella didn't last very long, neither the next. Venice is this beautiful place where you will definitely get lost // Wearing Ruby coat, JE's scarf from a shop in Melbourne, my Grandma's gloves, and DeJour jeans

6/1/13 Venice, Italy
As much as I want to stay that I hate this place... It's amazing. We arriveD – thank f it wasn't raining. Google Maps gave us the wrong directions so we spent ages trying to find our accommodation. It was literally opposite the train station! We arrived though. Explored a little bit.

My old work place haven't paid me my holiday pay so that's really annoying! Frustrating on my holiday. Was so sleepy last night that I went to bed with my contact lenses in. Woke up to go around Venice. We looked at St Marks Square – only briefly though. Inside it's beautiful with all the gold roofs! So very pretty. I got a photo – naughty me. Found the Bridge of Rialto. Nice. I thought the Ponte Vechio in Florence was cooler though with all the jewellery stores. JE hasn't proposed – he keeps making silly jokes about it. After checking out St Marks Square we were saturated in water so we headed back to our hotel – Aireon Hotel and did some washing, ate chips + vegemite and hopped into bed to watch TV series.

We have ventured to drink red wine and have a tart. It's average but the wine is going down the right place... I wonder how much I weigh now. Let's not wonder and hope that we have enough money for joining a gym.

Still to come:
Verona – 1 night? (Milano) – day trip.
Luzern – 2 nights?
Munich – 2 nights?
Berlin – 3 nights?
Hamburg – 5 nights?
Amsterdam – 2 nights?
Belgium – 1 night?
Paris + more – 4 nights/5?

The above diary entry is a flash back to my ‘Europe’ diary.
