17/1/13 Venezia, Italy
Today got much better - feeling a lot more love towards Venice. It was nicer weather which made it so much easier to explore rather than in the rain. We went to the-terrible-cafe and tried to find accommodation for Verona and Milano but we've just decided to skip Verona, do a day trip to Milano and go straight to Switzerland which means we get an extra days travel on our Eurorail.

We went on a big boat today in Venice - was cool! We got dropped off at Rialto Bridge which has far too much graffiti on it. Had another look in San Marco - even better in good weather. We got completely lost in the streets by just following people but easily found our way back. Brought some hot Sangria which was delissimo! Managed to get some shopping in, bartered from 45 to 25 for a fake Prada brown handbag. It's the one I've had my eye on far ages!

We're going on a date tonight. I'm going to straighten my hair I think. Also think we're going to the casino too - only so that we can get the gondola back to our hotel. Last night we brought supermarket food home because we knew we were going out tonight. It was delicious - olive bread. After dinner we went out to get gelato. Jared got chocolate and Nutella, and I got whisky, vanilla and Kit Kat flavour. That's when we found out about tonights restaurant to go to. Happy hour between 7pm -7.30pm.... yuss!

Hah and we thought Verona and Milan was expensive for accommodation! In Zurich and Luzern it's double the price.

Piazza San Marco
After taking this I found out I shouldn't have. So beautiful inside! How is it even possible to have that much gold on the ceilings?
