Little did we know that there was actually someone sitting in this boat. The driver didn't check if anyone was waiting to board. I don't want to admit it but the only reason we went to Casino Venice was to go on the free ferry!
18/1/13 Train to Milano and Zurich
The casino boat didn't even wait for us last night!
We checked out of Hotel Airone this morning after a nice night. Date night was amazing. We went to get train tickets for our Milan stopover and then went to get cash out for the rest of our journey. €1000! Dinner was average but of course the company and ristaurante was superb. Creepy Santa near the toilette wasn't nice though – all the Christmas decorations are still up.
After dinner we went to the Casino Venice and JE had to put on a jacket that they provided as he wasn't wearing one. We shouldn't have gone up to the next level as it was way too flash and expensive – especially on the slot machines. We wanted to catch the wee casino ferry back to our accommodation but it left without checking if there were any people waiting for it. Rats.
