Isn't snow just amazing? Pretending that snow is falling. It will happen for real later! // Wearing Ruby coat, Jeans West pink beanie, Grandma's blue gloves, Dejour jeans, knockoff Prada handbag
19/1/13 Zurich, Switzerland
Three major cities in one day is what we did yesterday. After leaving Venice we went to Milan – I didn't feel like I saw much fashion as we couldn't find the main center. We worked out later that we went the wrong way after exiting the train station. We ate an overpriced burger but used up all of their condiments so that makes it okay.
Whilst we have been travelling we have been collecting playing cards and we ended up finally finding a set of Italian playing cards. With all the pictures on each card it makes me wish we went to more places in Italy.
Train to Zurich was overwhelming/boring/tedious/cool. It was amazing to see snow out the windows! After arriving we got some food and ate it at our accommodation in the kitchen (we have a kitchen!) and then went out to check out the rest of Zurich (and by rest of Zurich I mean we walked again to the supermarket). We booked another night for Zurich and managed secure it for the same place so we didn't have to lugged our bags around. This morning we went and found a cafe which was meant to be hipster and it wasn't. It was nice none the less.
I am freaking out about all the snow. SNOW IS AMAZING! We went to a Swiss beer-hall after it started snowing down quite a bit [this was the moment that I experienced being in falling snow for the first time! So happy thinking back to it. Sigh] and we shared a one litre glass of beer and a bowl of fries to the dismay of our waitress.
We saw a beautiful square covered in snow – St Peters and got some good snaps. I am loving Zurich and the atmosphere and have just checked out the Old Town and had a bit of a slide on the ice. Had a giggle when I watched someone else cane it. We're heading to Luzern tomorrow – yay more Swiss action! Hoping/wishing/wanting to have a cheese fondue. How amazing would that be? In Switzerland having cheese fondue.
I love writing my diary because it means that I get to listen to JE play the ukulele.
