Flashback Diary: Lucky lady in Lucerne

Wearing Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Crème Lipstick, JE's Donovan Frankenreiter hat, Country Road scarf, AS Colour thermal, and Ruby NZ coat

20/1/13 Lucerne, Switzerland

Arrived from Zurich today – it's a great place with water by the town buildings and it's super cold with the wind coming off the lake. We hung out at the top of the city near the towers and watched some kids bobsledding and decided to get some lunch after that.

OMFG. Cheese fondue is a crazy thing. Neither a bad or a good experience. At first the cheese was really good but then it's just too much! Too much of it wasn't good for our non-experienced vegan tums. But I felt as if it was an experience that I had to do in Switzerland.

I brought a watch – now I can say, “Yeah, that's my swiss watch”. JE is probably really happy as I was asking, “What's the time?” quite a lot. Following the swiss watch buying experience we saw the coolest lion. But he was sad too. [When we were there the ice in front of the rock lion was frozen. We asked lovely couple to take a photo of us. Happy days.]

[I naughtily missed writing in my diary for a couple of days but I think I backtrack and write about what happened on the below dates. My scribbles of dates/locations/activities are a clear sign that I was having a good time.]

21/1/13 Munich – arrived late
22/1/13 Munich – free walking tour
23/1/13 Train to Berlin

The Lion Monument is dedicated to the memory of the Swiss mercenaries who, in the service of Louis XVI King of France, were killed during the French Revolution in Paris.
