Diary entry from: 17th November 2013
JE's birthday was on Friday - I made him breakfast whilst he opened presents. We brought drinks on the plane to Belfast to celebrate. Something we never do! The ride wasn't too bad and once we arrived at the hostel we headed out to a Chinese restaurant - Lee Gardens. It wasn't too good money wise and when they brought over JE's whisky on the rocks it was in a tall glass with a straw. Laugh.
Our hostel has a puppy! A puppy! It's so cute and only 10 weeks old.
Yesterday we explored and went on a bus trip around the city - it was that or do a more expensive Black City Cabs tour. I've never done a bus trip like that - it was informative but we didn't hop off on any of the stops. So after lunch from Check out my Buns at St Georges Market and a drink at Filthy McNastys we walked to the murals on the Nationalists side. I felt better knowing we stopped and actually took it all in walking rather than just being on a bus.
Back to the hostel we read, facetime and downed some whisky before heading out to eat Build a Burger. After going to a bar and walked back home I read my book till midnight.
Today we're on the bus to Dublin. Our future home. If it's anything like Belfast I don't think I'll want to live there. High Hopes Ahead.
