Flashback Diary: a New Zealander in Italy in an Irish bar

Florence Old Bridge - window shopping at all the pretty rings // Wearing Ruby coat, Country Road scarf, and Witchery handbag
JE always feels the cold // He's wearing ASOS gloves and I bet he was wishing he wore more

15/1/13 Florence to Venice

On the train to Venezia tonight. It's been a long tiring journey today. Feeling pretty nackered. We went to Pisa yesterday and that was way more cool than I thought it was going to be. The tower was smaller than I thought it was going to be. We went home and had a shower [exciting times travelling - doing boring things like showering].

Since we decided we were only going to spend one night in Florence we needed to get accommodation for Venezia. It's super expensive! After we got drinks at an Irish pub to use their wireless and there were free snacks. Yum. It was pretty awesome. Lucky us. Drunk, roaming the streets looking for food. We found a spot and drank a bottle if wine! Stumbling home talking about threesomes. Woke up with a bit of a hangover but got rid of that with breakfast and a shower.

We wandered for a bit - saw a really old bridge and then went to the free walking tour around the city. Learnt lots about towers, buildings, and the city.

We went to McDonalds only to use the free wifi but it was only available for Italian citizens, bit of a bummer really since we brought fries and a sundae!

Quite a little bit homesick. Would love to snuggle with JE, Snuffles, and a foster cat on a bed that has flannel sheets. Will watch tv series now.

The above diary entry is a flash back to my ‘Europe’ diary.
