FLASHBACK DIARY "HIPSTER INSERT CITY"

The way to go - getting an apartment meant that we had more freedom and space // Mi casa tu casa in Rome, Italy

10/1/13 Rome, Italy

Listening to music – just chilling out at the moment. Have had an incredible time so far! After we finally got into our apartment room (had to wait for them to arrive) we went off on our way to the Colosseum – holey hell it was stunning SO AMAZING. It's still my most favourite place. So old and so much has happened in it.

JE and I haven't been fighting so thats good! We went through the Emperors Ruins Palace – and we were certainly hungry! We saw a cat at the Colosseum. Off we went to look for this hipster recommended restaurant called Cucina e Casa [you will note in the future diary entries when we visit a new city we just search “hipster insert city”. Tried and true adventures]. It was delicious! No carafe there though. We walked back home and pretty much feel asleep. JE was a tired boy! Watched an episode of TV [this was our downfall – I wouldn't recommend watching TV series whilst traveling. In hindsight we wasted a lot of time when we could've been out and about].

Woke up late again – always seems dark in the rooms! Walked to get supermarket food and caught our first train to the Vatican. My fav part of it was the Greek and Roman antiques, that and the Egyptian tombs! The St Peter's Basilica was pretty cool. JE haggled a umbrella down from five euros to two euros. He was pretty stoked with himself.

Naples tomorrow! Wish us luck for our first Eurorail adventure!

The above diary entry is a flash back to my ‘Europe’ diary.
