GLASGOW baby! Well not now and not yesterday but on FRIDAY we went to Glasgow for the night - a little bit to see our friend and a little bit to see Glasgow a little bit more.

We caught the bus after I met my Whangarei friend's sister for a drink at one of my favourite bars in Edinburgh, the Brass Monkey. On arriving in Glasgow it was freezing cold! Running for shelter we went to The Flying Duck which feels like you're in a bomb shelter since it's below the ground. We got our drinks and a mezze platter. Always with the food. Oh and it's a vegan bar too!

I got asked my name, where I came from and where I lived by a bloke called Callum. He preceded to ignore Jared and then he walked away. Obviously he wasn't impressed with my New Zealand accent or the fact that I live in Edinburgh. Changing things up we moved seats and we met DEAN THE DOG and his merry owners. Well the bloke was lovely. He was so cute trying to jump into Jared's lap (Dean the Dog, not the bloke).

The following day, a Saturday, we went to the West End of Glasgow which I never knew existed. Isn't it amazing? It's like I found home. Those Op Shops. To die for. I got really creepy in one of them and saw a vintage wedding dress I liked. I awkwardly made Jared leave the shop and I took several photos of it. Looking back I'm not particularly proud of this moment since I'M NOT EVEN ENGAGED.

I am heading to Amsterdam this weekend - will be meeting up with friends from Hamburg and others that have been doing their OE around Europe. We're totally going to get loose. It's clearly going to be great. I've got a new dress, new eyeglasses and dyed my hair blue (which I still don't like - tried it a couple of weeks ago with Bleach London Blullini and didn't like it... Then last night decided to try it again. Still do not like).

I also got a new tattoo which is the best. I'm in love with it. It's the drawing of a buttercup that I got at Twit Twoo Tattoo by James.
