Bug glitter in St Andrews Botanical Gardens. We ate vegan donuts and hummus on crackers.

Making jokes and cracks about the monarchy
We’ve just been in St Andrews for the day to check it out. We got here via the train and we didn’t need 6 hours to spend time in this town. We only needed about.... Four.. at the most.
We went searching for the castle and the cathedral – both were in ruins which is quite nice to see / see how it really is, not what we perceive it to have looked like.
With no interest in golfing the town doesn’t hold anything interesting. What was fun however was making up stories about Prince William and his lady – there’s a cafĂ© in the town city which boasts that it’s where Kate and Will met for coffee. But realistically when you think about it I bet he took a piss in the bathroom as well. Isn’t it peculiar to think that they do things like that? Of course they are ordinary.
The town is straight-laced with no apparent vegan options (boo!). We went to the Botanic Gardens with a handful of delicious goodies from the supermarket. Jared slept and I took photos of magpies. Onwards we found a bar (Vic) that served £3 pints of Tennants and enjoyed a few games on the ping pong table. St Andrews was beautiful with lots of knick knack stores, signs were informing and the beach is sandy! Just lovely.
My birthday is coming up – what to do for it? Camping, BYO, Lush spa day, Glasgow weekend?
