Dundee drinks at DCA
Memory is time
It's street art but old fashioned
THOSE wavy mirrors. They should be banned from ever being acceptable.
Lying in bed. Watching Bob’s Burgers.
Today has been adventurous, exciting and travelsome!
After yesterdays wake up (early) I vowed to spend longer lying in bed after waking up. It lasted half an hour before jumping up and getting some avocado on toast with terrible coffee (sorry but NZ's Havana coffee will always be superior).
With it already planned I walked to Twit Twoo Tattoo where I booked my next tattoo appointment with James. I’m going to get a buttercup flower on my right wrist. The flower will forever remind me of a special someone who used to pick buttercups, hold them under my chin and told me with certainty that I loved butter. Which ironically I don’t anymore (I do, but the whole vegan thing gets in the way of that).
After booking the appointment for next weekend we caught the train up to Dundee and strolled around the town centre only to find that there’s not really that much to do. Checked out Maggie’s Farm after a recommendation from Mo'adore said it was a nice shop in one of her blog entries. So good, I wanted to get a dress but I felt it was definitely a shift in my style – think Essex / glitter / short and bright.
We op shopped, saw churches, ate Ryvita and hummus and then crossed the DCA off our non-existent list of stuff to do in Dundee. Cool place. Great jewellery and we drank beer there. Caught up with Jared’s friend from his summer of ESOL teaching in Edinburgh at Braes up the road.
Later on the train and at home:
3 x Chapatis
2 x Red Stripes
3 x Train stops
1 x thought of realising renting isn’t so bad
1 x thought of wanting to paint the walls
0.5 x Red Stripe on the walk home
