Part II: Note from Amsterdam

Amsterdam at night

Off to the romantic canal cruise // Wearing Ruby jacket

3/2/13 On the train to Brussels.

Well on a good note: Amsterdam is awesome. On a bad note: JE and I haven't been getting on so well. it's getting hard - as we've been spending so much time together. Sometimes I just need space for myself.

We arrived in Amsterdam and set ourselves up then we went for a walk - it's super pretty at night time. Was weird smelling pot in public. We had pasta at an Italian restaurant and then went home. Next morning we ate breakfast then went exploring. We did a free walking tour which was insightful. The old church and the Catholic sins was a good story [NB. I don't remember the story now]. From there we went home, dried up and went to get washing done! Wow washing that's clean is amazing. Dressed up and went on a canal cocktail cruise. Now that was a good experience! So worth it - we got five drinks each and got two servings of snacks. Quietly boozed and loved the ride we walked (with the need to pee resolved at McDonald's) to Dampkring. Brought a J, smoked it and then went home after buying another. Giggly and happy we went home and ate chocolate peanut biscuits. Woke up with a slight hangover and grumpily walked around. It was too rainy to get bikes so we decided to buy some "cake" and eat it at the hotel. Ate a small amount, then a wee bit more and then an hour later we were really high! I felt way too overstimulated so I went to sleep. Woke up at around 7.30pm, got pizza (far out Dominoes pizza is expensive!) then watched tele. Breaking Bad was WAY too intense in that state of mind, so Family Guy it had to be.

Woke up, breakfast then bikes! We went to the fleamarket which is where we brought a print at. Got some lunch and ate it at a doggie park. We brought tickets to an erotic show from a tourist shop (legit) and went to the show - it was pretty intense and full on. Sex, girl on girl, beads, vibrators, bananas, ribbon. It went for about an hour and a half. Feeling grotty we then decided to make ourselves feel even grosser by going down the streets of lady windows. Quite a bizarre concept. Found food after checking out where Conor Oberst played the night before.

Amsterdam - you are a crazy city.
