12/2/13 Tuesday - Train to Bordeaux, France.

We'll we've been busy - Cannes then Monaco and now training to Bordeaux. Cannes was good, we arrived with good weather. When we arrived we headed down the beach and walked for awhile trying to find lunch. Ended up finding exactly what we wanted: Indian food! It was totally delicious but very expensive. In their toilet there was this funny wrapper around the toilet so every time someone sat on it the plastic wrapping would twist around. Bizarre.

From there we went to see the Palais des Festivals where they have all the famous film festivals at. Very cool, the red carpet was there and everything. We walked through an antique flea market - I'm looking for a nice ring for JE. After that we headed back to the train - we're getting really good at public transport. They are so easy and handy to use. Once we arrived back in Nice we went for a walk near the port area. Small streets and cute shops. We saw a fire happening on the third floor of a building next to a church - lots of people were around. Unfortunately I really needed to go to the toilet so we had to leave the fire. We found an English pub called Wayne's and had more beers and dinner there - Veggie Con Carne for me and a veggie burger for JE. We were drinking a bit!

The next day we didn't venture out to Monte Carlo until later - it was raining and we were feeling pretty tired. We did end up going and caught the train in, arrived at about 2pm. We walked up to the Casino - it wasn't as big as I thought it was going to be but still quite spectacular! Walked up and over to the other side of the town and brought ice cream. My main hunt was to find something with truffles in it but couldn't find anything.

The train ride to Bordeaux has been okay so far - great views of the coast and beautiful water x

Whilst I was here I decided when I find a home it will need to be next to the sea // Nice, France
