Diary entry from: 2nd of February 2014 On train to Telford

I'm heading to Telford for work this week. There's a snow sports trade show that we've been organising and I'm going along to assist and coordinate the awards for the show. I hope all has been planned well and there's not much more that I'll need to do.

Jared isn't coming along this time - absence makes the heart grow fonder doesn't it? He's so special to me.

Last night we went to Victoria Bar in Edinburgh which has great vibe and quirky style. We didn't last long very long there though as we headed home to comfort food and what has been taking up a lot of our time: Bob's Burgers.

We've planned our Valentine's Day - it will be in Glasgow going along to Malcolm Middleton. We've even booked a hotel for the night rather than travelling back to Edinburgh after the gig.

In Telford I hope the hotel has a gym which I can use when I'm bored. There's a social party on Tuesday night - ugh I hope it's not full of old people drinking. That'll be the pits.

Diary entry from: 6th of February 2014 in Telford

These few days have gone incredibly fast. I've been working, eating and going to the gym. And that's about it. Oh and minimal sleep too. My alarm didn't go off this morning and I was late to work for the first time that I can ever remember. But good news - I had prepared everything the night before in terms of clothes and walking to the exhibition hall took like 2 minutes from the hotel in Telford.

Just listening to Kurt Vile at the moment. The last day is today - the show has been good. Most of the work was done already so it's pretty much running itself. I met some really nice people at the social party that I was nervous about going to.

I should look at how long it takes to drive back to Edinburgh as we're leaving at 6pm or that's the aim. Tomorrow I'm heading up to Stirling to take part in an events and volunteers workshop/seminar with Volunteer Scotland. Very much looking forward to that!
