Diary entry from: 18th January 2014 Errogie, Loch Ness, Scotland

We're all up in the cottage in the Highlands after driving up here in an [upgraded! Forward thinking James!] rental car. Hayley, James, Jared and I.

Our cottage is great! It has a log fire and the best kitchen. Last night after arriving we celebrated with beers, snacks and hungout and after a bit we started flicking through the television. It was my first time actually watching UK TV and there's so were channels! Jared and I have decided we're never going to have a TV in our home again. TV's suck - they're a waste of space and I find that they are unproductive. This is coming from me who'd sit down and just chuck any reality channel on.

We're heading up to Loch Ness soon and then up to Inverness to have a look around town.
____

We went up to Inverness, found a cafe, wandered around, saw the castle, brought some food. I found that the people weren't that friendly and neither were the dolphins. We went to Chanonry Point about 15 mins drive from Inverness where there are supposed to be lots of dolphins but none came to say hi to us.

We feasted on delicious mexican food and played Pictionary by the fire. I nearly set the house on fire when I placed a piece of wood onto top of the fire hob and it started to get too hot up there.

Although there wasn't much to do in Errogie the peaceful area was blissful to be hanging out in. We saw [famous] grouse driving into the town and the couple that rented the cottage to us were so lovely - our booking was very last minute (like 3 days before we were supposed to go) and after a bit of confusion they apologised for the mistake with a bottle of white wine on our arrival. I really want to go to their other cottage next which sits right next to the Loch Ness.
