Cardiff Boer War (South African) Memorial by Albert Toft (1862-1949) // Cardiff, United Kingdom
Well flying is extremely stressful! It's more stressful getting on the plane than actually being on the plane that's the stressful part of it all. Work is over until next month... I'm on holiday now! Yippee!
I'm heading to Cardiff - not really sure what's there but we shall see. I am so excited about Glastonbury but hoping for good weather. Definitely don't want it to be raining all the time - that'd be a down buzz.
Money at the moment is a bit tight but I think we should have enough for the festival, we'll buy some food and drink before we go in. We've even got a little gas cooker. We're so prepared - we've printed off stuff like set times for when bands will be playing, and have worked out the best position to erect our tent - near Paines Ground all the way! We have to pick up some alcohol to take in - think we'll pick some up duty free when we land at the airport [didn't happen - there's not really anything available when you land in Cardiff].
And we're off, wobbling side to side. I feel like my ears are about to pop. On the way into Edinburgh Airport we saw wild bunny rabbits all over the place! Like 20 of them! Little brown bunnies. I love Edinburgh!
Tips for enjoying a [or trying to] stress free plane ride:
1. Arrive like ridiculously early. Duh.
2. Only take carry on luggage and wear your biggest winter coat, shoes, and trousers so you can fit more in your bag.
3. Have your passport/ID out and ready. That shit's stressful when you're trying to open it up so your face is showing.
4. Keep the items you want to use on the plane trip at the top of your bag - phone, book, pen, wallet.
5. This one is a good one - if the plane is looking really full when you're walking down to your seat -when you spot a space in the above compartments use it straight away regardless, because there might not be any space left where you are sitting.
6. Or don't fluster yourself by trying to shove your carry on in the above compartment, just slide it underneath the chair in front of you.
Breathe in, relax and be thankful that you aren't the person they're calling for on the intercom. Or that you don't have a baby in your lap.

Have a stressout on the plane and then just take a Spa Break not that I can afford it.
