Of Monsters and Men on the Other Stage // Glastonbury 2013
Diary entry from: 27th June 2013 Thursday at Glastonbury Festival
Day two of Glastonbury and have been to Cardiff, Bristol, Bath and Stonehenge. So far it has been great but how can it not be after being at Glastonbury? Cardiff was surprisingly cool - we checked out a cool bar called Gwdihw and went to the Walkabout for the first time and I tried Snakebites for the first time as well [Cider with blackcurrant syrup]. We were well hungover on the bus ride to Bristol and slept it off.
Walked around Bristol and saw Clifton Bridge. It's a huge suspension bridge which is really old and rickety. Managed to squeeze in some Banksy graffiti too. We had been out after checking out a cafe in Broadmead (Cafe Kino) which was vegetarian/vegan when we got back to the hostel we went to Start the Bus and got mojitos!
Next day we hired a rental car and drove to Stonehenge which was ridiculously overpriced so we didn't properly see it, but it's totally overrated. We then went to Bath but it was just a quick stop through. It was nice sitting by the river eating corn chip sandwiches. We went back to Start the Bus when we arrived back in Bristol and got some burgers with Jess for tea. Bags packed with Glastonbury groceries we went to sleep.
We arrived in Glastonbury and the place was already packed! It was crazy busy. It's like a mini city. Thought we might've camped with friends of ours over from NZ but never heard from them.
The Glastonbury sign on the hill is my favourite part so far - I'm feeling sleepy now. Got our timetable down at the moment - looking forward to music starting tomorrow x
