Work: My first event in Scotland - Fort William World Cup

At the end of the week watching the Mens Elite Downhill Final // My volunteers

03/06/13 Monday

Heading up to Fort William tomorrow for the Fort William Mountain Bike World Cup. I am excited but super nervous. I have no idea what to expect! It'll be my first event as Events Executive. I'm coordinating all our volunteers (100+) and hanging out in the Event Management office.

JE's in a sulky mood as he's volunteering and not in a hotel. I hope it goes ok for him and make friends. I worry about him....

Hopefully everything fits in the car that I'm driving up. Renting it through rentalcars.com. It's the best website to go to compare car rentals. And fingers crossed I don't need to parallel park in it [the rental car ended up being a 2013 BMW - whhhhaaa!]. My first Scottish adventure. Aye, it should be good.

I bet it doesn't get dark till real late up there. I'm nervous bout meeting all the people that I've been coordinating with. Especially the guy from Red Bull. Well that was a big mix up. On my part and also on his part too. Don't want to think about it anymore.

Going through a phase of watching Freaks and Geeks at the moment. Good times. Who knew there were so many famous people in it? And if you're a fan - read this article.

We have a new flatmate moving in whilst we are away. She's vegetarian which is perfect! [After she moved out we realised how amazing she was. She cleaned at a hotel at night time so every time we came home she wasn't there and she'd clean our whole apartment.]

Glastonbury is coming up fast - we brought lots of stuff from Tesco for it. Tent, torches, blow up pillows etc. So excited about Glastonbury!

The above diary entry is a flash back to my 'Europe' diary.
