A work whipped dessert
2013 BMW I got to drive
Well the week has gone so fast. Days have blended into a whipped dessert and I have finally finished eating it.
I have no idea what is happening in the world - didn't know Paris Jackson had been admitted into hospital. It's times like these I wish that I didn't follow so many people on Instagram - clearly I don't have my priorities straight.
I was in Fort William for the Mountain Bike World Cup as part of the organisation team - I started the job on my birthday, was thrown into it but loved every second of it. Event management huh, when you come out of it at the end and you realise why you do it over and over again.
Things I'd like to remember from my trip:
- the starter onion rings at Ben Nevis Hotel were just delicious.
- dust on my shoes and wearing the same two pairs of jeans throughout the week. I didn't exactly pack the right type of clothes for hot weather. Who would've thought in Scotland?
- learning some Scottish: "aye" is said all the time!
- the portacabin office, the radios, the copiers, the volunteers
- and lastly, learning lots about mountain biking
I have nothing planned this weekend although I would like to get out the BBQ that we brought a couple of weekends ago. And by BBQ I mean aluminium tray with coals in it.
