When I've been brown haired I've felt dowdy and boring. With blonde hair I instantly feel trendier and prettier - but it's not like I do it for anyone else other than myself. It gives me confidence.
Whilst I was travelling I went off the vegan bandwagon as I thought you can't eat pizza in Rome without the cheese, but arriving in Edinburgh I went and saw Earthlings and I'm bloody well driving that band wagon now. I didn't really think so much about why eating dairy is bad as I stopped eating it because I thought it gave me eczema (turns out its actually stress due to working) and after watching the movie it's made me more passionate about veganism. Animals literally can't talk and stand up for themselves. Sure I'm not very good at it but I'm trying. Hard.
That brings me to my blonde locks. I can't go to the salon anymore to get my hair dyed. I've looked into Paul Mitchell, and Aveda salons but the lack of customer service (here's looking at you Cheynes and Vincent Bell Hair) hasn't brought me any closer to a salon.
Whilst looking for anti dandruff shampoo at Superdrug yesterday (baking soda isn't really working for me) I found blonde hair dye that's bunny rabbit approved! Holla bitches.
Now I can imagine you judging me right now and thinking 'I only ever go to salons'. I used to think that too. How far the mighty have fallen.
But I got it anyway. Made my regrowth blonder but more of coppery blonde that looked naff against my blonde ends. Went back today and got the pre lightener dye and another box of the 11.0 platinum blonde. I had to go out in PUBLIC with my regrowth looking that ratty bright yellow colour. Blah.
And now I'm sitting on the couch half naked waiting for the third batch of colour to develop.
