Searching for the job 15/04
Above: the end slide from a social media summer campaign I was asked to prepare for a job interview last week.
Finding the best way to find a job has been my task for the wee while. Yep, I'm on the job hunt. It hasn't been easy and often I've needed to cross check whether or not I've already applied for the job but I've got the hang of it.
My top way to search for jobs is via social media - in particular Twitter. It's literally so easy! I have my keywords and I search. There's a lot of scrolling involved but that's where control F comes in handy - I can narrow down my search even more.
Along with just checking out job websites I also search my job industry in Google - such as marketing agency Edinburgh and go through to their websites. A wise lady told me that agencies don't really go through to recruitment companies to hire for entry level jobs. This has appeared correct when searching on companies websites I see new roles that are more entry level. Hurrah for me!
I have a couple of interviews lined up for the week which means my searching is paying off.
Lets hope I can nail an interview to start paying for fun stuff to do in Edinburgh! This city constantly blows my mind with its culture. And the best thing: my favourite flower the daffodil is currently in bloom!
